The book Warrior Bride Arise was written in response to a growing concern at seeing many children and youth floundering in their faith. Kids once on fire are drifting away and being blindsided by the enemy. WBA brings us back to the simplicity of the gospel and is written in such a way that young and old can understand foundational truths.
In my involvement with YWAM/King's Kids and other ministries, I have seen the need for a tool to ground our youth in the truth and equip them to fulfill their destiny by living out a radical faith. It is becoming increasingly difficult to stand up for Christ in our society. It is imperative that we challenge and equip the next generation to RISE UP to be instruments of change out of a heart in love with Jesus. Thus, "Warrior" refers to our position as soldiers in God's army, and "Bride" refers to those who have an intimate friendship with Jesus.
The book is interactive and carries with it the heart of King's Kids as many of the principals of YWAM/ KKI are interwoven in the material. It also tells some stories of what God did on KKI outreaches.
How can the book be used?
- as a series of devotionals to help equip young people or family groups.
- as a series of devotionals to help equip kid's groups or youth groups.
- as a tool for heart prep or follow up after outreaches
- a tool to help set up Daniel prayer groups where the devotionals are used to prepare hearts and the "Come Togethers at the end of the book can be used as is, or adapted to facilitate corporate meetings
- a ready made curriculum for groups that seek to learn more about how to see our nations through God's eyes and then pray for them.
Who is using it?
Various families for family devotions, a grandmother as a devotion before she goes to bed, a kids ministry group as material to help equip the kids between meetings, a church that is using it in an intergenerational home group.
